Our Story
Medlink Marketing is a duly registered company in the Philippines. It started in 1999 as a small sub-distributor of Baxter Healthcare for its medical and surgical products.
In 2007, Baxter International spun-off its Fenwal Blood Transfusion global business. In that same year, Fenwal appointed Medlink Marketing as the exclusive distributor of Fenwal Transfusion Therapies in the Philippines. It was the first company to introduce the Optipress® automated blood processor. At the same time, Medlink continues to represent Baxter Bioscience and Medication Delivery Businesses in key hospitals in the Greater Manila Area.
In 2008, Amsino International U.S and Medlink signed a formal partnership in the hospital products business. With the turn of events, Baxter Healthcare Philippines Inc., had decided to stop marketing its Bioscience Products in 2013, forcing Medlink to explore possible distribution partnerships with other reputable biopharmaceutical companies.
During that period, Medlink Marketing was able to formalize an agreement with Octapharma AG., a Biopharmaceutical Company based in Lachen, Switzerland. Octapharma is one of the largest manufacturers of human derived blood protein products. As the exclusive distributor of Octapharma, Medlink offers a wide range of biopharmaceutical products for critical care, immunology, and hematology.
In addition to the growing number of principals of the company, Nichiban Co., Ltd of Japan, appointed Medlink Marketing as the exclusive distributor of Cathereep™ surgical and medical tapes in the Philippines in 2016. Nichiban is one of the world’s reputable manufacturers of medical tapes and has been in existence for more than 100 years in Japan. It is known for its high quality, safety, and innovation in the medical tapes market.
With the global acquisition of Fenwal Inc., by Fresenius Kabi of Germany. Fresenius Kabi Philippines, appointed Medlink to represent and continue the Blood Transfusion Therapies business for several key hospitals in Metro Manila. It has apheresis and leukoreduction automated blood collection machine placements in key private and government hospitals in Manila.
In 2019, Medlink and JW Pharmaceuticals of South Korea, entered into a Distribution and Safekeeping Agreement for JW Products in the Philippines.
With more than 20 years of operation, Medlink had gone through many challenges but was able to conquer and sustain its business presence in the industry. Medlink’s heart of success comes from its loyal customers and a talented team. To embolden and strengthen Medlink’s operational capability, it was incorporated in April of 2019, from a Single Proprietorship to a Corporation.
